Well, we’ve changed the title of our next film. It’s simply NIA, not “NIA and GRIFFIN.”
What happened? When it was time to film Griffin in Massachusetts, we discovered that his heart wasn’t in it. He’s busy with his last year of high school and has a “lot on his plate.” We were sad to end our partnership and wished him smooth sailing as we said good bye.
Back in California, Love Delivers did a quick pivot to concentrate on the beautiful and multi-talented Miss Nia.
Nia is a word that means PURPOSE in Swahili. It is also the name of our star who was born at home in Richmond, CA. Hers was the second homebirth for Xavier and Keniece and they wanted to have it filmed. Nia’s older brother, Naeem, arrived before the midwife, before family, before friends and there was no camera. Must have been magical.
For Nia’s birth, they were well prepared with multiple midwives, doulas, family, friends…and camera.
What a pleasure to be working with this family again.
